===== Terminal ===== A terminal app is a standard way to work with a computer via a text-based interface. Oftentimes, a terminal app will run a shell as soon as it's launched. A shell is a program that takes commands from the keyboard and gives them to the operating system to perform. As of 2023, Mac OS computers run //Zsh// shell by default when launching the terminal app. One of the first things I recommend installing, for anyone who will often be working in //Zsh// on Macs, is https://ohmyz.sh/ - an open-source framework that upgrades the //Zsh// UI and comes bundled with many helpful functions. To install oh-my-zsh, simply run the following command in //Zsh//: sh -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ohmyzsh/ohmyzsh/master/tools/install.sh)"
