Yoga as exercise, is a physical activity consisting mainly of postures, often connected by flowing sequences, sometimes accompanied by breathing exercises, and frequently ending with relaxation lying down or meditation (from wikipedia).
Mindbody app has reviews of specific yoga teachers if you look up a specific yoga location, e.g. Center Yoga Mindbody page.
However there isn't a way to look up a specific yoga instructor and reviews about their classes, as far as I know. So for now this page can be used to record yoga class experiences.
Great class, with a very strong focus on beginner-friendly restorative movements. Nice studio, although the layout is very long and being on the 2nd floor above Broadway meant you could hear the occasional police siren.
Great instructor, but the class had an unusual structure. Pace felt a bit fast to me at first, and then about half-way through it became slow as we started deep 3-min poses, which felt a bit too long. The class yoga mats and blocks felt low-quality. The studio was above a restaurant which resulted in a slight food smell. At one point there was a very loud noise from the hallway, which connects to the hotel gym. Class ended with a nice, optional lavender aroma experience. The view of the city and the natural light were really great, and made the small space feel bigger than it is.
My first hot yoga class in a while. It was great. Really nice to do hot yoga after coming indoors from very cold weather. Beautiful studio. A bit tight with all the students, but somehow didn't feel cramped. The fix class is a mix of everything.
Instructor was very good about suggesting adjustments. I enjoyed the class even though I have a different pace preference.
I enjoyed this class quite a bit. It was a tad fast for me at some points, but the moves felt really good, and the rhythm of the pace was very consistent.
I also liked that the instructor's small dog was quietly napping next to her during the class.
The class was full, but I had a comfortable amount of room having secured a good spot next to the wall about 10 min before class.
Luis seemed very knowledgeable, experienced, and kind. He was in full control of the class and very present.
The pace was a bit quick for me, and the difficulty of moves was sometimes more than I could handle. I was hoping for an easier and slower paced class at 7:30am. Sort of a wake me up, stretch me out, get me ready for the day kind of thing. Several times I felt a bit overwhelmed with the instructor's direction, and ended up going into my child pose to recover.
I think it's a great class for a more experienced student.
