For black and white maps, you want to have a medium- or high-contrast map without too many details. The colliers-map-light style works great for this.

1. Go to https://bigmap.osmz.ru/ and get the map area you need
2. Click Submit
3. Use the GoFullPage chrome extension to download the resulting map as a high-resolution image file
4. Go to https://posterazor.sourceforge.io and use the web app version to convert the image into multiple pages
